Costa Rican Resident Rate

Who Qualifies?

The Costa Rican Resident Rate is available to legal residents of Costa Rica in possession of a valid Cédula de Identidad. To qualify:

• At least one adult guest staying in the bungalow must be a legal resident of Costa Rica and hold a valid Cédula de Identidad.
• The qualifying guest must remain at the property for the duration of the reservation.
• A photo of your Cédula de Identidad, along with a selfie holding it, must be submitted and verified as part of your request, before a booking code is issued.

How the Resident Rate Works

To balance availability for guests planning vacations well in advance with opportunities for local residents to enjoy a spontaneous escape, the Costa Rican Resident Rate is offered exclusively for last-minute reservations, and only after a short verification step.

Here's the process:

1. Submit your request below with your desired dates, a photo of your Cédula de Identidad, and a selfie holding it.
2. We review each request individually and typically respond within 24 hours.
3. If approved, we'll send you a unique code by email to complete your booking directly on our website.

Resident Rate reservations must:

• Be requested within 18 days of arrival but no sooner than 48 hours before arrival.
• Meet all residency eligibility requirements, verified prior to approval.
• Be subject to accommodation availability.
• Be booked directly through the official TICOASIS website using your approved code, not through Airbnb, Vrbo, or any other third-party platform.

Because this is a limited promotional rate offered on select last-minute availability, Resident Rate reservations are non-refundable and cannot be modified once confirmed.

Why Is the Resident Rate Offered Only for Last-Minute Stays?

Many of our international guests plan their vacations months in advance. Costa Rican residents, on the other hand, often have the flexibility to take advantage of a last-minute weekend escape or short vacation.

Offering a preferred Resident Rate shortly before arrival allows us to welcome more local guests without reducing availability for travelers who reserve well in advance. It's a thoughtful balance that benefits both our guests and the property.

Terms & Conditions

The Costa Rican Resident Rate:

• Is available only to guests who complete our verification process and receive an approved booking code.
• Requires a valid Costa Rican Cédula de Identidad; no other form of documentation will be accepted.
• Cannot be combined with any other promotions or discounts.
• Is subject to availability and may not be offered on all dates.
• Is valid only for new reservations.
• May not be transferred or used by anyone other than the approved requester and their travel party.
• Is non-refundable and may not be changed once the reservation has been confirmed.

TICOASIS reserves the right to request additional documentation at any point in this process, and to decline a request if eligibility requirements are not met.
